Busy Week

What a busy week this has been for me. Plus I had some internet issues that kept me off-line for almost a week

Football- the Fox Valley Force continue to roll with another big win. Fourth straight game scoreing 40+ points to go 8-0 on the season. We had 2 guards missing, so our other center had to play guard, leaving me to start and play 80% of the offensive snaps for the first time this year. Needless to say, the knee has been more stiff and swollen this week, but should be ready for this weekends game at the West Bend Junk Yard Dogs. It was the last time I played against them when I hurt my knee in the championship game. So I am looking forward to playing this Sunday.

The Lab Rat Brew Team has been very busy this fall, we have brewed an Irish Stout, English Nut Brown Ale, and will be firing up the brew kettle on Friday for our Pumpkin Brown Ale-just in time for Thanksgiving.

I am now the team doctor for both Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Clubs in the Fox Valley-Paper Valley Roller Girls and the Fox Cityz Foxz have allowed me to sponsor and provide care t0 the teams.

This week was pretty hectic, but that is the way I like it, and next week looks even busier. Love to hear your comments, and feel free to ask questions!

Busy Weekend

The last weekend of the summer was sure a busy one for me. Friday night, the Lab Rat Brew Team fired up the ole brew pot for a batch of "Howling Bastard Pumpkin Ale." If first tastes of the wort is any indication, this will be a very good batch.

On to Saturday. The Force had a bye this week, so no football. Did some garage cleaning then went to Waverly Beach for Mixed Martial Arts fight. One of the main bouts was Bryan "House" Schultz (6' 11" 467lb) in his first fight, taking on another very large (6'10" 420lb) fighter coming in at 8-1. Guys this size don't do too many spinning kicks (at least not above the ankle). After a few punches, House got his opponent in a head lock and brought him to the ground and finished the fight in the first round.

Sunday morning brought the annual Fox Cities Marathon. I have been the Chiropractic Coordinator for the last 15 years. Treating the runners at the finish area with massage, stretching and adjustments. My fingers are still green from all the Bio-freeze I used. From the marathon to Dragon Soccer practice (U15 girls) to finish off the weekend.

Monday-football, Tuesday-bowling.....

Amber Ale now in the bottle

Another fine home brew from the Lab Rat Brew Team has just been bottled. Our "Flat Tire Amber" came out fantastic and should be very drinkable in about 2-3 weeks. The Lab Rats have been brewing for 3 years now and we are getting pretty good at it. If you ask nicely, I may be able to share one with you.
